We hope everyone is hanging in there and doing well. We will be having our monthly meeting via “Zoom” on November 11th at 7:30pm! You do not have to have a song to participate, so please join us.
NOTE: This is NOT the Anthem Chapter Challenge meeting. We need to finish up a few details, so we will be having the Chapter Challenge meeting next week.
We will hang out a bit and then (as always) we will be doing songwriter feedback of songs, members go first. If you have a song you would like the group to give feedback on, you will need to email the following information in ONE email by Wednesday at 6pm. For your convenience, you can click here to email me: email@example.com Note: You must send ALL of the following via email to have your song critiqued.
1. Song Lyric via word doc, pdf, or in the body of the email.
2. Mp3 recording of the song (for this first meeting, no live performances).
3. Let us know if you are an NSAI member. If you are not, there will be no charge for this meeting.
4. Consent Form: Now, for the legal stuff: Be sure to include in the email your consent (see below) to the following terms stating:
CUT, PASTE & EMAIL US BACK THIS BIT HERE:
“NSAI thanks you for participating in our programs and services. We are one of the few organizations that take time to listen and evaluate your songs. Due to legal considerations, we require you to sign a consent form anytime NSAI hears your song (whether it be through the song evaluation service, Pitch to Publisher, Song Feedback, One on One Mentoring, or any one of NSAI’s special events or services).
Your submission of a song (whether lyric, instrumental, or music and lyrics) for critique by NSAI constitutes your agreement to release, indemnify, and hold harmless NSAI and its employees, board of directors, officers, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any and against any claim, including, without limitation, of copyright infringement or other misappropriation, arising from any acts or omission in connection with your submission.”
I [Chapter member name] agree to the above song consent for [Song Title] to receive feedback on [Chapter meeting Date ] at the [Chapter] . [Date of agreement]
Please log into the meeting between 7:20 and 7:30, you do not need to create an account in the ZOOM app to join the meeting. If you are hesitant about how all this works, log in at 7:20 pm and we’ll quickly run through a few things.
